It was for my nan, who passed away from lung cancer roughly six months before. I was 15 years old.
Total Control came along this January, while Joe and I adventured round the United States. It was a split second decision, lyrics taken from a song very special to us. It isn’t for him. But something to remind us how far I have come as a person and that my life is more in control than ever now. He watched it get inked, being my best friend for so long and witnessing me grow through all this. It couldn’t have been more perfect to get it when i felt happier than I ever have in my life.
